  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 8 large tortilla wraps
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cup sliced red onion

Method
 

  1. In a large resealable bag, combine the olive oil, garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Add the chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  2. Preheat your grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook the chicken for 6-8 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F. Allow the chicken to rest for 5 minutes, then slice or shred it into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Lay the tortilla wraps on a flat surface. Divide the shredded chicken evenly among the wraps, followed by the shredded cheese, lettuce, tomato, and red onion.
  4. Fold the bottom of the wrap over the filling, then fold in the sides and continue rolling tightly to create a secure wrap.
  5. Serve immediately, or wrap in foil or parchment paper to enjoy on the go.

Notes

For best results, marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes to infuse it with maximum flavor. The tightly rolled wrap helps to keep all the delicious components together. These wraps can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or frozen for longer-term storage.
